The first single off our forthcoming EP, “All My Good Friends” is an ode to the lovable, and sometimes problematic behavior of the people you are closest with – the people you claim are a bad influence on you, but really it’s a two way street.
The song begins by setting the stage and establishing context for the type of shenanigans in questions, and as the song progresses, the behavior and antics get worse and worse. By the end of the second verse, the lyrics reveal from the perspective of the singer that “all my good friends is really just me”.
At the end of the day, we are our good friends and they are us – one can’t exist without the other. The song was written with a poppy, summery, sing-along vibe to accompany the hooks, track, and questionable content therein.
Ultimately, wejust wanted all our good friends to shout along in celebration of the dumb decisions we try to blame on each other.
